Digimon Appmon Tokyo Toy Show Coverage Part 1: The Show

Oh boy a lot to talk about here which will be in 2 parts, so let's just get into it right quick shale we?

With Bandai Japan showing off their brand new stuff at their Tokyo Toy Show we got some things like toys, some stuff on the show + voice cast, Games and finally animation footage.

now for this we do have this trailer with most of it having people in it with also spiced text added in about the show and lucky enough it is translated which goes.

"Everyone in the world uses smartphone apps. But inside them lurks unknown creatures called “Appli Monsters,” or “Appmon.” The Appmon are AI lifeforms with the ability to think and act, and exist in the boundary between the human world and digital space to allow people and the system to interface and function. But in the vast sea of the internet, the “last boss AI” Leviathan takes control of the Appmon with a virus and begins hacking every system, thus starting to control the human world from the world of the net.

The protagonist, Haru Shinkai, is led to acquire the Appli Drive, and uses it to materialize Gacchimon, a search app monster. What is the secret hidden within the Appli Drive? What is the mysterious field that exists between net world where the Appmon exist, and the real world? What is the “App Combine” that can combine two Appmons? What is Leviathan’s true goal?"

so with that we do have a name for out Main charter for this show Haru Shinkai and from the description he really does sound like a Digimon. in also addition to Haru Shinkai we got our voice cast as well (really for our main hero, hid Digimon and the Digivice) Yumi Uchiyama voiced by Haru Shinkai, Kokoro Kikuchi voiced by Gacchimon, and Wataru Takagi Voiced by the Appli Drive. 

Oh Yah we got our first look at our main for our protagonist named Gatchamon who is pretty cute and I'm admitting it fully. and more Appmon are showed off with names Dogamon, DoGachamon, Hackkmon, Musimon, and Raidramon (more on them in Part 2). 

We also have information on the people working on this series with Koga Gou as directior,  Kato Yoichi for the producer and finally Onuki Kenichi as the series designer.

my toughs on this is excited for this series but skeptical. I mean what's really throwing me off is the designs I'm not feeling most of them. I already said I like Gatchamon and that still stands even if he looks a lot like Shoutmon (even more so with him DNA Digivolving) But I mean I think it's to early to call out on the designs since a lot of Digimon begin out as these cute adorable Digimon that then in their final form become these badass giants of Awesomeness. see more of the toy coverage in Part 2 with the toys here.
